GLY 551 - Seafloor Mapping Course Description: A survey of different methods used to map the seafloor including satellite altimetry, multibeam and sidescan sonar swathmapping. Operation of instruments, survey strategies and techniques to process and interpret data will be explored. Two lecture and three laboratory hours per week. Shipboard field trip.
