GLY 533 - Paleoecology Course Description: Principles of ecological faunal analysis as primarily applied to the marine fossil record. Emphasizes the integration of form and function, taphonomy, and community development through time, and sedimentology/stratigraphy as a synthetic approach to paleoenvironmental, paleobiological and evolutionary analyses. Applications to biostratigraphy are considered. Three lecture hours per week. Field trips.
