EXS 410 - Essentials of Strength Training and Conditioning I Credits: 3
Prerequisites: EXS 216 and EXSL 216 ; or BIO 240 and BIOL 240 ; EXS 320 and EXSL 320 . Pre- or corequisite: EXS 321 . Restricted to Exercise Science (EXS) majors only or permission of instructor. Must have minimum cumulative GPA of 2.70. This course is a comprehensive overview of the scientific foundations of strength and conditioning. Emphasis will be placed on the exercise sciences, including anatomy, exercise physiology, biomechanics, nutrition, and the psychology of performance.
