SPN 490 - Service Learning and Research Credits: 3
Prerequisite: SPN 302 or SPN 315 , and SPN 305 , and junior or senior standing. Study of the Spanish-speaking population in a specific region. Each student will complete 30 volunteer hours with a local agency that works with the Spanish-speaking community. A research project related to the Spanish-speaking population of a specific region or community is also required. Satisfies University Studies V: Explorations Beyond the Classroom. Partially satisfies University Studies IV: Building Competencies/Information Literacy. Satisfies University Studies II: Approaches and Perspectives/Living in Our Diverse Nation. Partially satisfies University Studies IV: Building Competencies/Writing Intensive.
